Develop an Interface for Traffic incident Managers

Description: The purpose of this project was to produce an interface for traffic incident managers that would improve their performance and provide traffic insights based on big-data analysis.

Role: I planned and implemented the research activities associated with this project. Specifically, I:

Supervised 11 undergraduates students over the course of the project.
Conducted one-on-one interviews with traffic incident managers to evaluate current software and a user interface prototype
Co-authored a paper presented at the Human Factors and Ergonomics Society Conference (October 2018)
Co-authored a poster presented at the Transportation Research Board Conference (January 2018)

Output: The output of this project was a detailed task analysis of traffic incident managers and a new interface design to detect, respond, and report incidents.

Proposed UI Design The was initial design for the new interface.	Current Screen Design The current design traffic managers use day to day.
Proposed Video Screen The proposed design for the video window screen. The traffic managers would use this screen to open and view cameras around the state.	Proposed Incident Tracker Screen The proposed design for the incident tracker screen. The traffic managers would use this screen to track the status of incidents.
